Morehead (15-1) advanced to the quarterfinals of the 3-A state dual playoffs with wins over Havelock and Western Harnett Tuesday night.
The Panthers, champions of the Mid-State 3-A Conference, needed a win in their last match to edge Havelock, 38-34 in round one while Western Harnett defeated Rocky Mount in the other match.
In round two, Morehead defeated host Western Harnett, 49-27.
The quarterfinal and semifinal rounds will be held Thursday, but the other three teams have yet to be determined.
