A victory would more than likely assure the Hawks home-field advantage through the Region B playoffs. … Gretna’s win over Chatham moved the Hawks up to No. 8 in the Associated Press Group A Virginia state poll. … A Gretna victory would secure the Hawks a share of the Dogwood District title with Appomattox and Altavista if the Colonels defeat Nelson County. … The Hawks have lost two consecutive games in Naruna.
