Reidsville teams take fourth at North State Conference Meet

KING – Southern Guilford won the boys’ division of the North State 2-A Conference Track and Field Meet, but only eight points separated the second, third and fourth-place teams Tuesday afternoon at West Stokes High School.
Southern won the girls’ meet with 176 points and finished 31 points ahead of second-place West Stokes (145).
The Storm won the boys’ meet with 128 points, but McMichael (99), Winston-Salem Atkins (96) and Reidsville (91) finished within eight points of each other.
The Lady Rams also finished in fourth place with a total of 55 points.
Reidsville had 4 first-place finishes – three by the Rams and one from the Lady Rams.
Lyshod Graves took first in the 100- and 200-meter dashes as well as teaming up with Jarrett Barnett, Mike Stacey and William Welch to win the 4x400-meter relay. Graves’ 100-meter time was 11.00 and his 200 time was 22.90.
The 4x400 relay team finished first with a time of 3:43.00.
Brittany Brown of the Lady Rams won the discus with a throw of 78-05.5.
The 2-A Mideast Regional Meet will be held May 16 at Cardinal Gibbons High School in Raleigh.
