If President Barack Obama was truly interested in increasing revenue and reducing the deficit, the first order of business should be to demand payment of delinquent taxes by any employee of the federal government and if not paid, they should be terminated from their positions.
I would like to know who will manufacture this so-called miracle liner and exactly how they tested it to be so sure it will last as long as the danger of the tailings will last.
One of the core principles our country was founded on involved a free market place and open competition. Other companies are held to these standards; why not insurance companies?

Meanwhile, to at least give credit where credit is due, at the same time Gov. McDonnell asked for a delay in lifting the moratorium, he made a strong move in the right direction by ordering his agencies to begin drafting regulations for uranium mining. That, at least, is a very positive step forward in getting the Coles Hill project started.
This, then, is the real reason for their opposition to the mine. My fellow Southside workers, it’s also what’s in it for us. We will be the real beneficiaries of this mine. Our wages and benefits will go up. Our standard of living will go up. We must fight this attempt by these people to keep us down, to keep paying us peanuts. We must get this mine approved.
In Central and Southside Virginia, we have a proud heritage in agriculture, manufacturing and Main Street businesses that create jobs for thousands of Virginians. As I continue to hear from our farmers and small business owners in the Fifth District, it is clear that our heritage and the very future of our country is being threatened by the federal government.
Virginia needs a U.S. senator who will vote the best interest of Virginians, not the interests of the president and his allies in Washington.
