Two people were transported to the hospital Thursday night with non-life threatening injuries after a SUV crashed through the Quality Plus gas station on Franklin Turnpike.
Lisa Coleman was working when she saw a Chevrolet TrailBlazer hit another truck, nearly hit two gas pumps, slam into the side of a van, skid over a median and crash into a vending machine at about 7 p.m. Thursday.
“The Good Lord was watching out for them,” said Coleman. “I don’t know how she missed [the gas pumps.] She barely missed them.”
Danville Police Department Sgt. J.W. McLaughlin said the driver may have been suffering a medical condition.
One of the two people injured was a child.
McLaughlin and witnesses at the scene said the occupants of the TrailBlazer were “very lucky.”
