Two Pelham, N.C., men were arrested on Friday by the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office on charges related to the sale of cocaine.
Lt. Frank Rose, of the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office, said his office was contacted by the North Carolina Probation and Parole office to assist in a search of the home of Dennis Devon Murphy, 32, of 5214 Old U.S. Highway 29, Pelham
Murphy was on probation and subject to searches at any time, Rose said.
When officers arrived at the home, they found about 10 grams of cocaine and a set of digital scales.
The items were seized and Murphy was charged with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, conspiracy to sell and deliver cocaine and felony maintaining a dwelling for keeping controlled substances.
Murphy’s probation was revoked and he is being held at the Caswell County Detention Center on a $250,000 secured bond.
Also arrested was Marquis Kimani Slade, 21, of the same address.
Slade was charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and conspiracy to sell and deliver cocaine. He is being held at the Caswell County Detention center under a $50,000 secured bond.
Both men are scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 22.
