Three supervisors and other Pittsylvania County officials have been appointed to committees for the Virginia Association of Counties.
Chatham-Blairs Supervisor Brenda Bowman has been appointed to VaCo's Health and Human Resources Committee and Banister Supervisor Jessie Barksdale will serve on the Environment & Agriculture Committee.
Also, Dan River Supervisor James Snead has been appointed to the Administration of Government, Public Safety and Telecommunications and Budget & Finance committees.
County Administrator Dan Sleeper will serve on the Compensation and Retirement Committee, while Economic Development Director Ken Bowman was appointed to the Finance Committee.
VaCo, located in Richmond, supports county officials and represents, promotes and protects counties' interests to better serve Virginia. VaCo is governed by a board of directors made up of local government officials.
