Car crashes into Advance Auto Parts in Danville

No one was injured when a vehicle crashed through the front doors of an auto parts store in Danville on Wednesday afternoon.

Shortly before 2 p.m., a Lincoln Town Car crashed into the front of the Advance Auto Parts store on Westover Drive in Danville.

The car ran over a parking block and sidewalk, then smashed into the store's front doors, according to witnesses.

The front of the store suffered damage, but there were no injuries reported.

Driver Edward Charles Jones, of Sutherlin, was charged with failure to maintain proper control of the vehicle, police said.
