Ruffin man charged in connection with electronics thefts

A Ruffin man has been charged with stealing electronics valued at $236,186.91.

According to a news release from the Reidsville Police Department, Toby Sean Dishmon, 36, of 87 Whitestone Drive in Ruffin was served a grand jury indictment by Reidsville Police Department Detective Sergeant Dean Cook for larceny by employee.

The release said these charges stem from an extensive investigation by Cook beginning Sept. 29, 2011.

Dishmon is charged with stealing the electronics from Schewels Furniture in Reidsville, according to police.

Police said Dishmon has turned himself into Cook and has been placed under a $25,000 unsecured bond. He is scheduled to appear in court March 12.
