A Reidsville man reported finding two of his dogs dead and three of them seriously ill, and a lab test determined ethylene glycol was responsible.
According to a news release from the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office, the man, who lives on Grooms Road, told deputies that he found his six-year-old Lab dead last Monday, and a test performed by a veterinarian found ethylene glycol in the animal’s blood.
The man also said a female lab mix had died while three additional male dogs were critically ill.
