A Stoneville man was arrested Aug. 30 after attempting to clear out a room of people by shooting a handgun three times into the ceiling of a private residence.
James Houston Parker of 6490 N.C. Highway 135 was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and shooting into an occupied dwelling. The disturbance was reported at 8:51 p.m. by witnesses at the incident location, 254 Elaine Drive.
Parker’s bond was set at $200,000, and he will appear in court on Sept. 16.
