Telvista to transfer call volume to Danville

Telvista’s Danville call center will receive more work after the company closes its Odessa, Texas, facility in September.

Telvista announced the Odessa closure on Monday. The company is relocating contact center programs and two client accounts to Dallas, said Ayn Owens, director of marketing and business operations for Telvista.

The other Odessa client account will be transferred to Danville, Owens added. It would consolidate operations as the client already uses the Danville facility for some volume.

“It’s all very positive for Danville,” Owens said.

The move means sustaining jobs in Danville, she said. In the future, more jobs would be added to the Danville facility as client business grows and as Telvista adds more contracts.

“The Danville site is doing great,” Owens said. “From a sales perspective, the Danville site is very appealing.”

The consolidation is unfortunate for Odessa, Owens added. Employees were invited to apply for other positions within the company. Some were offered relocation assistance to Dallas. Telvista is working with the Texas Workforce Commission to provide job placement assistance.

After the closure, Telvista will have two facilities in the United States and five in Mexico. Telvista, which provides contract center outsourcing solutions, has been in Danville for the past five years.
