A man punched a female in her face and took her cash in the 2100 block of North Main Street at 2:30 a.m., the victim reported to Danville Police.
The victim, a resident of Danville, told police the black man was about 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a dark complexion, average build, short black hair and goatee. He was wearing a blue shirt and jeans when he approached her, according to a police news release.
He struck the victim with his fist and took an undetermined amount of cash. The man then left the scene.
The victim was transported to Danville Regional Medical Center by private vehicle for treatment of minor injuries.
The police investigation is continuing.
