A Danville man was charged with reckless driving after a three-car wreck sent all three drivers to Danville Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Virginia State Police.

The wreck occurred at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday night when Adrian Rivero Jr., 24, of Aston Road in Danville, driving a GMC truck, rear-ended a Chevy Monte Carlo in front of him on Mill Creek Road, according to State Trooper T.S. Bullington. The driver of the Monte Carlo was waiting to turn left onto Walnut Creek Road when Rivero hit the car, forcing it across the center lane, he said.

The Monte Carlo then hit a third car head-on in oncoming traffic on Mill Creek Road. All three drivers were transported to DRMC; there were no additional passengers.

Bullington said Rivero was charged with reckless driving.
