DANVILLE — Delegate Danny Marshall has been assigned to the Research and Development Committee on the Tobacco Commission.
He currently serves on the Special Projects Committee and the Economic Committee, Southside.
“I am pleased to join the Research and Development Committee on the Tobacco Commission, in addition to my other committee assignments,” Marshall said in a statement. “The Commission believes that providing funding for local research and development projects is an important part of our local revitalization efforts which will help restore economic prosperity to Southside.”
The guidelines and applications for the research and development grant program are now available for entities that conduct research and development in the following areas: energy, biomedical and health care, information technology, chemical and materials and environmental, Marshall said.
