Police looking for info after Danville man shot in head

A 29-year-old Danville resident told people he was shot Sunday about 3:13 a.m., according to a Danville Police Department news release.

The man told police he was at 252 Parker Road talking to two females when a disturbance started inside the residence. The victim was struck in the head after numerous shots were fired, the release stated.

The victim left the scene and called police from a local convenience store. From there he was transported to Danville Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The investigation by police continues. Anyone with information about this incident should contact Danville Crimestoppers at (434) 793-0000 or e-mail crimetips@ci.danville.va.us.

Information given will remain confidential and residents who call Crimestoppers may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
