Michael Newman has been elected Danville’s next commonwealth’s attorney, winning a three way race Tuesday for the job held by 40-year incumbent William H. Fuller III.

The unofficial vote totals from Tuesday:
Michael Newman -- 5,281
Jim Martin -- 2,940
Claudette Robertson -- 1,980

Mike Mondul, a lieutenant with the Danville Police Department, has been elected Danville’s new sheriff, also winning a three-way race to replace incumbent Sheriff Jim Dooley.

The unofficial vote totals from Tuesday:
Mike Mondul -- 5,104
T.L. Childress -- 4,600
J. Wayne Booth -- 1,035

In the 14th District House of Delegates race, GOP Delegate Danny Marshall has beaten Democratic challenger Seward Anderson, 6,159 votes to 4,023 votes, all but assuring Marshall’s victory in the sprawling 14th District.

Danny Marshall -- 6,508
Seward Anderson -- 4,175
