DANVILLE - Danville police have arrested a local man in connection with a Monday morning robbery of Eden Jewelry in Burlington, N.C.
Marcus Dwayne Pyles, 19, of Wigwam Drive in Danville, was arrested Tuesday without incident, police said. He is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and second-degree kidnapping.
On Monday morning at about 10:30, Burlington police officers responded to an alarm at the jewelry store on Church Street. Employees told police that they had been robbed at gunpoint and forced into a bathroom, according to a news release from the Burlington Police Department.
The suspects demanded cash and jewelry from three employees and one customer in the store, and both had stainless steel semi-automatic weapons, the release states.
Police are still looking for Antoine Lanier Hall, 19, of 105 Albert St. in Danville.
The suspects left with undetermined amounts of cash and jewelry.
