Governor coming to Danville for infrastructure announcement

» 0 Comments | Post a Comment

Gov. Timothy M. Kaine will be in Danville tomorrow, with Rep. Tom Perriello, to make an infrastructure funding announcement.

The 4 p.m. announcement will take place at the empty lot across from 4050 Riverside Drive, overlooking the Robertson Bridge.

The news release from the governor’s office called the venture “an important regional infrastructure project.”

The city has been seeking funding for replacement of the Robertson Bridge, while Perriello has been working with the city in hopes of obtaining stimulus funds for the project. Whether tomorrow's announcement will be related to that project could not be immediately confirmed.
