Justin Keith Terry, 21, of Sherwood Drive, Reidsville was charged Oct. 29 with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office said.
At midnight Wednesday, Sgt. H.A. Tippet and Chester Eads stopped a suspicious vehicle on New Lebanon Church Road in Bethany, and made contact with the driver, Terry.
Terry stated he was there to look for his dog. Deputies said the driver was unable to furnish identification and was extremely nervous.
On a section dash normally used for a radio, a bag of marijuana was in plain view, a news release said. Upon further investigation, the bag contained 10 smaller bags of marijuana. Another small bag of marijuana was also found inside the car.
Terryʼs bail was set at $1,000 secured. A court date of Nov. 20 was given.
