Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden won’t be making his planned campaign stops in Virginia on Sunday.
The Obama-Biden campaign canceled Biden’s scheduled stops in Roanoke and Richmond on Saturday due to an illness in Jill Biden’s family. Biden spokesman David Wade said hospice has advised the family to remain close by and asked everyone to respect the family’s privacy.
Barack Obama’s running mate was scheduled to speak at community gather-ings on the economy. Obama made a stop in Newport News on Saturday.
