BLUEFIELD, W.Va. — Tyler Sexton pitched six scoreless innings and Rodolfo Cardona drove in two runs as the Bluefield Orioles ended the Danville Braves’ two-game winning streak with a 4-1 victory Monday night.

The Orioles struck first in the bottom of the fourth when Cardona doubled to drive in Elvin Polanco and Jason Rook. After Shayne Moody singled home Will White in the top of the 7th to cut the score to 2-1, relief pitcher Clayton McMillan gave up a run-scoring triple to Brian Conley and Joel Campusano could not cleanly field a Ronnie Welty grounder, which allowed Conley to score.

Randall Delgado (1-5) took the loss for the D-Braves, going 4 2/3 innings and giving up two runs on five hits. Third baseman Jon Gilmore went 2-for-4 on the night

Sexton (2-3) struck out seven D-Braves while only giving up three hits. Cardona went 2-for-2 at the plate, including scoring the third Orioles run of the night.
