A little less than three weeks ago, Rockingham County traveled to Eastern Alamance with a chance at wrapping up the Mid-State 3-A Conference volleyball title. However, the Lady Eagles won and got themselves in a three-way tie for first place.
Those two teams will meet again Wednesday night to decide who will be the No. 1 seed in Saturday’s 3-A state playoffs.
Rockingham County swept Morehead at home Tuesday night and Eastern Alamance won, 3-1 at McMichael.
It was Eastern’s second win in three ties against the Lady Phoenix.
Wednesday’s finals are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in Wentworth.
