For the second time in as many weeks, Chapel Hill High School put an end to the playoff hopes of a team from Rockingham County High School.
While last week it was the Lady Cougars’ volleyball team that lost 3-1, Tuesday night the RCHS soccer team fell 5-0 at Chapel Hill.
Rockingham County’s season ends at 7-14-2.
Morehead, which finished the regular season 8-10-2, lost at Asheboro, 5-0 Wednesday night in its first round 3-A East playoff game.
The Panthers finished the season at 8-11-2.
Asheboro moves onto the second round now at 16-3-3.
