Chatham routs Patrick County
STURAT — Patrick Murphy scored a game-high 23 points as Chatham easily defeated Patrick County 78-58 Thursday night.

Solomon Witcher added 14 points as the Cavaliers improved to 7-4. Patrick County was led by Jalen and Jacob Reynolds’ 13 points apiece.

In junior varsity action, Chatham (6-2) roughed up Patrick County 56-33 behind Aaron Rogers’ 22 points.

Chatham plays William Campbell on Tuesday. The game will be held at Altavista, with tip-off for the junior varsity game at 6 p.m.

CHATHAM — Erin Eaton led Chatham with 12 points, but it was not enough as Patrick County won 45-33 Thursday night.

Iesha Perry added 10 rebounds for the Cavaliers (2-7). Erin Ricketts scored seven. The Cavaliers host William Campbell on Tuesday.

Essence Dabney scored 17 points to lead Westwood (7-2) to a 30-29 victory over Gibson Thursday night. Westwood plays at Halifax on Monday.
