Julio Teheran hurled eight spectacular innings of one-run ball as the Danville Braves squished the Burlington Royals 7-1 Monday night to sweep the three-game series in Burlington.

Teheran struck out eight, walked one, allowed four hits and surrendered the lone Burlington run on a solo home run by Geulin Beltre in the fifth inning, which trimmed Danville’s lead to 3-1. The D-Braves (14-7) responded by scoring once more in the seventh and three times in the ninth before Thomas Berryhill pitched a 1-2-3 bottom of the ninth to seal the victory.

Keaton Hayenga took the loss after allowing three runs on six hits while striking out five and walking two for Burlington (7-14), which committed a whopping five errors.

L.V. Ware, Cory Harrilchak and Robert Hefflinger smacked two hits apiece to lead Danville offensively. Ware collected two RBIs and Harrilchak and Mycal Jones tripled.
