Westover’s Wilson shoots team record 34 in loss
LYNCHBURG — Caleb Wilson shot a team record 34 for Westover Christian Academy, which fell 182-189 to Timberlake Christian on Friday at Poplar Forest Golf Club. Scott Burnette shot a 41 for Westover (0-6), while Seth Buck hit a 52 and Aaron Porterfield had a 62.

Chatham slams Dan River
RINGGOLD — Chatham defeated Dan River 9-3 in Dogwood District action on Wednesday.
Kasey Anderson was 4-for-4 and scored three runs for Chatham and Raven Fuller had a double, triple and three RBIs. Hannah Ross earned the win by giving up five hits and two earned runs in seven innings.
Gwen Turner smacked a pair of hits and scored twice for Dan River and Hannah Milam added a double.
