HEARTBREAKER: Dan River falls to Appomattox in overtime
The Appomattox defense finally made a stop against the Dan River rushing attack, giving the Raiders a 28-26 victory and ensured Appomattox a share of the Dogwood District title and a berth in the Region B Division 2 playoffs.

Special teams lift Franklin County to victory over GW
George Washington gave up four touchdowns to Franklin County on special teams, allowing Franklin County to escape Danville with a 41-32 victory and the outright Western Valley District title.
Chatham’s defense buckles down in homecoming victory
Chatham junior quarterback Cam McClellan scored on a touchdown run on the Cavaliers’ first play in the second overtime, sending Chatham to a thrilling 28-22 homecoming victory Friday night in a Dogwood District matchup.
