Averett drops a pair in finale of Emory Classic
ATLANTA – Averett University could not claim any contests in the Emory Volleyball Classic, losing both matches to Hardin-Simmons and Southwestern University on Saturday.
Against Hardin-Simmons, Jordan Maupin had six kills for the Cougars, who lost by scores of 25-15, 25-17 and 25-12.
Against Southwestern, Averett (1-7) got contributions from Maupin with eight kills and Meredith Schwane with 19 digs. The scores of this match were 25-9, 25-20 and 25-12.
