Where are the flags?

As a former Marine and a Vietnam veteran, Veterans Day is one of the most significant days of the year for me. As I rode down Washington Street on Veterans Day, I was deeply saddened to see not a single flag flying. The Draper Community proudly displayed their flags along with a parade and a service for all veterans. There also were flags flying on the Cook Block and on The Boulevard. Hopefully next year, the Leaksville merchants will take the time to pay respect to all the veterans who have so proudly served their country!
