No down-home values here

There was no enlightening news in the story “Opie, Andy back Obama…“ which ran Oct. 30.  Many people enjoy the old “Andy Griffith Show” reruns as I do, but our citizens are smart enough to know that these actors are not the characters they played on TV more than 40 years ago, and they never were. Howard and Griffith are typical Hollywood actors voting for their very liberal values. While the liberal groups enjoy often showcasing the “good old homespun Andy” character in North Carolina at election time, I think we really are smart enough to know a good actor when we see him. The characters Sheriff Andy Taylor and little Opie had traditional values. Andy Griffith and Ron Howard are liberals that better represent the values coming out of Hollywood.

I ask for God’s people to pray for His mercy upon America as biblical values continue under assault.  Please vote for those values when you go to the polls.
