A committee of Mayodan residents was formed to provide voters information regarding the mixed beverage referendum in Mayodan on the May 6 ballot. Committee members were raised in Mayodan and raised their families in Mayodan. We live, work and pay taxes here.

Pavers raise money for sculpture

Thank you for your editorial, “What’s in our Water?” of March 27. Danville Utilities should be commended for going beyond minimum requirements to test drinking water for pharmaceuticals and personal products.

The March 27 editorial, “Big Trouble,” highlighted the county’s current financial woes. In particular, the piece mentioned the public library’s bookmobile as one item that has been targeted for elimination by the county’s leadership.
