SNEADS FERRY, N.C. (AP) _ A vigil and memorial service is planned at a school near a Marine base for the Army nurse whose husband has been charged with killing her.

The Daily News of Jacksonville reported Sunday that the memorial service was planned for Monday night at Dixon High School in Sneads Ferry, a town near Camp Lejeune, for 24-year-old 2nd Lt. Holley Wimunc of Fort Bragg.

Wimunc was married to Cpl. John Wimunc, a Lejeune Marine who is charged with first-degree murder. Holley Wimunc’s body was found near Sneads Ferry after a brush fire began.

Lejeune-based Cpl. Kyle Alden is charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
