Monday at 11:42 p.m. Roy Hayden of 590 Dodge Loop in Madison reported to Deputy Kevin Harris that his granddaughter Emily Cardwell had run away.

The 15-year-old was staying with her grandparents for a couple of weeks, but left. Hayden looked outside to see car lights of an older model four door white car, and someone he believed to be his granddaughter leave in the car.

Emily Cardwell, who was an Alee Road address in Reidsville, was last seen wearing a light striped shorts and a short sleeve Tshirt with flip flops and a pink purse. She is white, 5 feet, 6 inches tall and about 140 pounds with brown eyes and blond hair.

Hayden is concerned about the safety of his granddaughter and asks anyone with information to call the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office at 634-3232 or Crimestoppers at 349-9683.
