Summerfield man dies in wreck

Larry Arthur Cobb Jr., 30, of 344 Bobcat Road in the Summerfield community, died in a single-car crash at 4:38 a.m. Sunday.

Cobb was driving his 1999 Ford truck north on Bobcat Road when he crossed left of center, ran off the road to the left, overturned and landed in a ditch, according to a spokeswoman for the N.C. Highway Patrol. Cobb was not wearing a seat belt.

Cobb’s funeral is at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Maple Lawn Baptist Church with the Rev. Crawford Bradshaw officiating. Wilkerson Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
