Alphonza Saran Mabry, 21, is wanted on a charge of attempted first-degree murder in the shooting of Carlos Lester on Nov. 26.
Mabry is considered armed and dangerous, police said. Anyone with information concerning Mabry is asked to call Eden Detective Paul Moore at 623-9755.
An Eden man has already been charged in the shooting.
Paul Anthony Hairston, 33, of 522 Glovenia St., turned himself in at the Eden Police Department on Friday. He has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill.
Hairston is in the Rockingham County jail under a $150,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
Officers responded to a call at Price Street and Center Church Road in Eden last Wednesday and found Lester, 34, also of Eden, with a gunshot wound to the chest. On Friday, Lester was listed in critical but stable condition at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Tuesday, a spokeswoman for the hospital said she had no information on Lester being a patient at the hospital.
