Ruffin teen shot in leg

Jordan Levar Dickerson, 17, of Ruffin, was found Sunday morning of a home an Old Highway 29 in Pelham, the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office said.
Dickerson told a deputy he had been shot in a leg when leaving the side door of a neighbor at 1131 Old Highway 29. He heard someone demanding that he stop before he was shot. Several stray bullets struck the structure.
Dickerson knocked on the door of a neighbor, who called emergency workers. There was no description of the shooter, and detectives are investigating. Dickerson’s condition was not immediately known.
