Reidsville police make arrest

Reidsville police arrested a local man on a break-in charge and found a handgun in his possession. 
The man, Derek Mansfield, 23, of 312 Boyd St., was arrested without incident Thursday on an outstanding felony warrant charging him with breaking and entering, according to a news release. Charges added by investigators were safecracking, two more counts of breaking and entering and larceny and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Mansfield’s bail is $25,000. He is scheduled to appear in court June 16.
