Justin Keith Terry, 21, of Sherwood Drive, Reidsville was charged Oct. 29 with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office said.
At midnight Wednesday, Sgt. H.A. Tippet and Chester Eads stopped a suspicious vehicle on New Lebanon Church Road in Bethany, and made contact with the driver, Terry.
Terry stated he was there to look for his dog. Deputies said the driver was unable to furnish identification and was extremely nervous.
On a section dash normally used for a radio, a bag of marijuana was in plain view, a news release said. Upon further investigation, the bag contained 10 smaller bags of marijuana. Another small bag of marijuana was also found inside the car.
Terryʼs bail was set at $1,000 secured. A court date of Nov. 20 was given.

Let me think humm “midnight, bag of marijuana in plain view, 10 more bags of marijuana” I know! It wasn’t his car-or maybe somebody planted it there- no wait…He was delivering pizza and that was his tips!
Great job Sgt. H.A. Tippet and Chester Eads. Stand for something or fall for everything. Now lets just hope he don’t go to court and get slapped on the wrist which is a waste of the officer’s time and our tax dollars! Let him stand out front at wal-mart with a sign “I tried to sell drugs to your child”. Or better yet give him one of the “crack” baby dolls to baby sit for a month 24/7. For every time the baby’s abuse alarm has sounded let him do 30 days in jail! This should keep him off the streets with his drugs at midnight! He might even learn his lesson early in life. Thanks again to the officers!
