Eden man faces charges of larceny, property damage

An Eden man faces charges of property damage and larceny after an incident at Johnston Nursery.

On Saturday, Kenneth Wayne Dickerson, 33, was arrested and charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property, and damage to real property. The stolen vehicle was recovered in Franklin County, Va. Dickerson was located and arrested on South Avenue in Eden.

Dickerson was confined in the Rockingham County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in Wentworth District Court on July 9.

Johnston Nursery reported to police on June 24 that someone had scaled the fence at the business’ property at 333 Summit Road, stolen a red Toyota Corolla, and drove the car through the gate.
