Eden man charged with breaking and entering

On June 2, Carol Handy, 40, of 273 Westerly Park Road in Eden, reported the forcible breaking and entering of her residence. She reported the loss of an assortment of jewelry and extensive damage to her front door, the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office said.
James Matthew Weddle, 21, Of 138 Malibu St. in Eden, is charged with: felony breaking and entering, larceny—an estimated $1,000 in jewelry—after breaking and entering, and felony possession of stolen goods.
Weddle is scheduled to appear in court Thursday, and bail was set at $100,000.
