Reggie Denney, an Eden resident and the owner of Reggie Denney Auto Repair on Bridge Street, got another chance at luck when he was chosen to be on CBS’s “Let’s Make a Deal,” which was taped in Las Vegas.

Denney was in Las Vegas during the first week of November for Automotive Service and Repair Week through the Automotive Service Association. In 1993, Denney was a contestant on CBS’s “The Price is Right.”

He said it was his wife’s idea to get tickets for the show, because it was near where they were staying. There were 350 people at the taping of the show, and everyone had to go through an interview process before sitting down.

“It was great and it was really exciting to be on that show, not knowing you were going to be picked,” Denney said. “And for people who think that kind of stuff is rigged, it’s not. It is completely random that I got chosen.”

Denney also said Wayne Brady, host of the show, was a nice person, and it was great to meet him.

“I had seen him on previous television shows, but I had never met him in person,” Denney said. “I had a very exciting time while I was there.”

Denney is not allowed to say much about what happened on the show, because it hasn’t aired yet.

To see Denney’s appearance on the show, tune into CBS at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2.
