Police are investigating a purse-snatching in the Southwyck Plaza parking lot that happened Monday night.

At about 9:30 p.m. a woman was walking from her vehicle to Food Lion when a man ran toward her and tried to grab her pocketbook, police say. She swung her pocketbook at him. He hit her in the face, knocked her to the ground, grabbed her purse and left the scene in an older model burgundy vehicle, according to police.

The victim described the suspect as a black make, slim build, 5 feet 11 inches tall, wearing jeans, a white T-shirt and a black do-rag.

Who Is Danville PD going to grab up off the street now and charge with robbery a Preacher? They are charging the wrong people. Do your research before charging folks. Does anybody watch CSI anymore?
