Two arrested, one sought in Caswell County home invasion
YANCEYVILLE, N.C. — Two people have been arrested after a Dec. 13 home invasion that left one person injured.
Maxwell Lawson, of Roxboro, N.C., and Kevin Lawson, also of Roxboro, have been arrested and face charges in connection with the case, according to a news release from the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office. A third suspect, Lafayette Davon Poteat McCain, remains at large.
The armed robbery occurred in the early morning of Dec. 13 at 16245 Highway 119 in Caswell County. According to the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office, three black males entered the home and assaulted and robbed the victims.
One victim was taken to Person County Memorial Hospital with injuries and was treated and released.
Kevin Lawson has been charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree kidnapping, larceny after breaking and/or entering, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, common law robbery and possession of a firearm by a felon, the release stated.
He is being held in the Caswell County Detention Center under a $250,000 bond.
Maxwell Lawson has also been arrested and charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree kidnapping, larceny after breaking and/or entering, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, common law robbery and possession of a firearm. Warrants for Maxwell Lawson’s offenses have not been served, according to the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office.
McCain, who has not been arrested, faces charges of common law robbery, first-degree burglary, larceny after breaking and/or entering and second-degree kidnapping.
