So 60% of the people taking the poll will not be watching the events. That is a good number. Hopefully that is 60% of people that are still lucky to have jobs and are not living on the government. as of today. We should be counting our blessings for now. I have a feeling things are about to change. I will not be watching. I have not even watched any news for a week except Nancy Grace at 8pm at nights. Hopefully in a few days my tv schedule will resume to normal. I did see an article on how much $$ was being spent to put on today’s event. It is a shame so much $$ is being spent for one day. Just think how many meals for homeless folks this could feed. or Money for the disabled to get them into a good home this would help. Or law enforcement officers it could put on the streets to put on the protect the citizens of the areas. but no it is being used to have a party in Washington.
Besides this article asked who was watching it not who was watching it and why!!
(DUMDUM) thank you that really makes sense! But people who are hating need to chill out because they will make it so that he will live! And if improves the country people will start liking him! Yes it’s history but black people also voted because Mccaine was full of SHT soooo… and you could see it all in his face! Yea it’s time for a change! People need to think about the future not the color! It could all end 2maro but the haters wouldn’t be able to say they lived a good life because they was racist their whole life and crying because our president is black!!I laugh at yall who don’t like it because yall liked the life yall lived for 8yrs?? I know I didnt like it. Liike Obama said it’s time for a changr! YES WE CAN!!!!!!;)
I, too, say give the man a chance! Everyone deserves that much! I’ve voted republican for years, but I couldn’t do it this time! I’ve had enough of Bush and if we had voted McCain in, we would have the same thing we have now! I voted for change, not the color of skin!
kibbyte, Pres. Bush was more experienced
than any one you know or will ever know. The man that has been elected will prove this in short order.
Bank on it, if you have any thing to bank.
Well yeah yeah a lot of African Americans that have never voted turned out to vote—But think about it—if white people were the minority and finally a presidential candidate had a chance that was white—wouldn’t it make you more likely to come out and vote? I am white and I completely understand why so many new voters had a reason to come out and finally participate.
If you think about things instead of using emotions you will see the same.
Not going to watch! With all the hate groups out there, I expect we will all be seeing more news than we expected in the next several days.
There is a minority of Americans (hate groups) that will not except a Black President, I fear for this man’s life, I know security has been beefed up more than for any other President Elect. I just hope it’s enough
I didn’t vote for Obama because I am not a liberal. His race had nothing to do with my choice. However since he was elected, I plan to support him because he will be MY president. If his parents hadn’t been married when he was born, his birth certificate would have said he was white, so what difference does it make if he is black or white? He would still be the same person. He is going to be OUR president - not just the black race OR the white race if he had been white. He was elected by the AMERICAN people-not by a particular race. It is predicted that in a few years, Hispanics will be the majority in the U.S. THANK GOD there will be no race issues in HEAVEN!!!
I for one will be watching and if the weather was better my family and I would go to DC. As I recall in the past growing up just outside of DC every inauguration had hype. This one is just historic. It is so crazy that one race is being given the sole power of deciding a winner in this country especially when they are the minority. African Americans in history have always voted for a Democrat and in this election more educated, young and older citizens voted for change and just think they did not even have the skin color of our next president. So if these so called “lazy uninformed” citizens excercised the right to vote for the GOP ticket would this be a mute point? Each side can put up a fight for what happened what went wrong…but complaining and not being apart of the solution is a BIG part of the PROBLEM. I will stand by and say if Huckabee or Romney was The GOP choice there could have possibly been a different outcome…NOW is the time to start getting out and working for a better tomorrow instead of sitting back and complaining.
Danville- as a community we need to hold our leaders accountable and get this community on track….
GOD BLESS each and everyone of you.
The media will only show you what they WANT you to see.
If I lived in the DC area, rather than watch TV, I’d listen to the police scanner. Can you imagine what that’s gonna be like?
4000 extra cops, 5000 troops?
Wonder why?
Well, look on the bright side… at least the cold air will slow the bleeding on some victims.
