From staff reports

DANVILLE — The Salvation Army has set up a temporary shelter at its church location at 123 Henry St. for those affected by flooding in the city.

“We’re just waiting,” said Salvation Army Capt. Allen Tanner. “If anyone comes in, we’re ready.”

Staff from the organization and Danville Social Services have about a dozen staff and about 30 cots set up for overnight shelter, if necessary, Tanner said.
