PROVIDENCE, N.C. — Investigators are waiting for an autopsy to identify human remains found Friday on Park Springs Road in Caswell County.
The Caswell County Sheriff’s Office said the remains were found at about 6:45 p.m. in a wooded area in the Bethel community after an area land owner called 911 to report that a human skull had been dug up by the family’s dog.
Criminal investigators with the sheriff’s office secured the scene and began a search of the area with the assistance of the department’s trained cadaver dog, the N.C.
