Danville police were busy Monday night, responding to two shootings. At about 10:45 p.m., a witness reported hearing someone yell to a victim to give up their money, Lt. Scott Eanes said Tuesday. The victim was shot in the leg, but managed to get to Express Line on Richmond Boulevard where he called the police. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Danville Regional Medical Center. Police are still investigating.

Police also are investigating a seemingly random shooting at Pleasant View Apartments, Eanes said. A man reported he was standing outside when an unknown black male approached him and shot him in the leg. The victim “couldn’t tell us anything,“ Eanes said, noting the man was just trying to get away from the shooter. The victim also was taken to Danville Regional with non-life threatening injuries.
