Police make arrests in break-in case

DANVILLE — Danville police have arrested two suspects in connection with a residential break-in that took place Wednesday in Forest Hills.

Matthew Robert McIlrath and Justin Kyle McIlrath were apprehended Saturday and are charged with one count each of breaking and entering, grand larceny, forgery of public documents and fugitive from justice, according to a press release form the Danville Police Department.

The brothers were arrested after Danville Police Cpl. J.E. Garrett encountered them on Main Street, spoke to them and called for an investigator. The McIlraths gave false identities. They are wanted for escaping from a jail in Georgia and possessing stolen property in Roxboro, N.C. Matthew McIlrath is also wanted in Florida for probation violation.
