Police identify body found in Caswell County

YANCEYVILLE, N.C. — The Caswell County Sheriff’s Office has identified a body found Oct. 2 on W. Main Street in Yanceyville as that of Sarah Lindsey Martin, 24, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

Martin had no known permanent address and was last seen in Pittsylvania County on Sept. 30, the release stated.

The cause of death remains unknown. Both the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office and Caswell County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the case. Police are awaiting an autopsy report from the medical examiner’s office.
